Recognizing achievements with Data Streaming Technology
The Data Streaming Awards recognizes organizations that are harnessing the power of Data Streaming to transform their business and provide amazing value to their customers, and communities.
Judging
The Judging process is designed with fairness and transparency in mind. Confluent is the main organizer of the Data Streaming Awards, but winners are chosen solely by a panel of data streaming experts spanning the entire category. Every effort is made to ensure there is no undue bias towards any vendor or technology.
If you are interested in becoming a judge, please email us at community+awards@confluent.io. We select judges who we deem are experts and community leaders of the data streaming industry.
Choosing Judges
The judges will be chosen, to complete a judging panel which has representation from many businesses directly involved with the Data Streaming Industry.
Nominations
We have and will seek to give companies across the industry the opportunity to promote nominations to their employees and communities!
Choosing Winners
No one but the Judges will be choosing winners. Each judge will be able to place votes, and will not have received indication of what other judges voted for previously.

Categories
The following Categories are what can be won by companies using Data Streaming technology this year. This includes awards for individual systems and overall architectures, as well as for start ups and more.
Note: Please do not be discouraged from nominating if you think your nominee may not fit perfectly with a specific category, all nominations are potential winners of the main award.
The Data Streaming Company of The Year Award
This award encapsulates everything that the Data Streaming Awards are about. The Winner of this award will have harnessed the power of Data Streaming to transform their business or organization, and provide increased value to their customers and/or community.
The Data Streaming Startup of The Year Award
The Winner will be a startup (Company under 5 years old with no parent company) which has harnessed the power of Data Streaming to transform their business or organization, and provide increased value to their customers and/or community.
The Data Streaming Award for Innovation
This award is for companies, teams or organizations which have redefined ways in which Data Streaming can be utilized to increase value for customers and/or transform their business.
Best Company-Wide Data Streaming Implementation
The Winner of this award will have a comprehensive Data Streaming implementation in their infrastructure which revolutionizes how their business operates from top to bottom.
Best Individual Data Streaming System
This Category rewards a team who has built an outstanding individual Data Streaming system that brings enormous value to their business.
Eligibility and Criteria
We want to ensure that the absolute most deserving companies and practitioners are rewarded. This is why we prescribe a set criteria for judges to evaluate nominations and also have some rules and definitions for which companies can win awards.

Innovation
Show us how this team has come up with new ideas for the Streaming Industry, and their own industry.
Impact
How has this project made an impact at their company, in their community, or on the world?
Interest
Is this project interesting to people who are both Technical and Non-technical?
What companies are eligible to win these awards?
No Data streaming vendors
Data Streaming Vendors aren't elligible to compete for these awards, UNLESS they are using a Data Streaming Technology for project within their own company.
No company can win two
6 Different companies will win the awards. If a company is elligible for more than one award, they win only one of what the judges decide.
Start ups are defined as
Companies that were started less than 5 years ago and have no parent companies.
