Optimizing Apache Kafka with GraalVM: Faster, Leaner, and Performant

Docker, a widely adopted container runtime, has revolutionised the way we deploy applications. With the implementation of KIP-975, Apache Kafka 3.7.0 and subsequent versions now come with a docker image.  

  Explore the official Apache Kafka Docker image, optimised for size and performance, ideal for production use. Learn about its unique features like how we used Application Class Data Sharing, a JVM feature that helps reduce startup time and memory footprint. Understand its reliability through rigorous testing and regular CVE detection for security. Stay updated with each Kafka release coinciding with a Docker image release. We'll demonstrate practical applications like passing configs to Kafka within a Docker container and using Docker compose files for robust multi node cluster creation. We will discuss some real life use-cases and talk about how they can be implemented using this docker image.  

  This session will make users aware about the apache kafka docker image and allow them to take advantage of various benefits it offers. The attendees will get to see how this docker image can be used in a production scenario.
