Fortifying Your Transactions with KIP-890

Transactions are crucial to exactly once semantics in Apache Kafka®. But over the years we've found some gaps in the protocol. Enter KIP-890: Transactions Server-Side Defense! The goal of this KIP is to address some known issues like hanging transactions and to strengthen the protocol to make sure we write our messages not zero times or two times but exactly once!  

  This session will cover the rationale of the KIP, the new changes introduced by the KIP, and future work made possible by the KIP. It will also cover how to set up your Kafka cluster with the improved transactional protocol.
